The Protean dominance continues as they devastate the Pakistani batting again in their last match on their tour to Dubai. Both teams were changed as Nasir Jamshed and Henry Davids had stepped in for Abdur Rehman and Jean Paul Duminy in their respective teams.
South Africa having won the toss decided to bat first which proved and excellent one. Hashim Amla and Faf du Plessis played a gem of 48 and 58 runs. South Africa looked to get a total of 180+ but an excellent come back from the Pakistani bowlers restricted the Proteas to 150 runs/5 wickets.
Pakistan were to chase the total at 7.50 runs per over. The chase began with an aggressive approach from Nasir Jamshed and Ahmed Shehzad but still the story didn't change. Pakistan looked to achieve the total at one stage with little cameo knocks from the two youngsters Ahmed Shahzad and Sohaib Maqsood scoring 21 and 37 runs respectively but two back-to-back wickets from Wayne Parnell and Imran Tahir just turned the match on its head . All of a sudden South Africa dominated the game again but this time with someone except Dale Steyn. Pakistani resistance finally ended with departure of SHAHID AFRIDI. Pakistan finally ended up with a total of 144 runs/9 wickets. South Africa won the two match series 2-0 and move to 2nd Rank in the ICC T20I rankings. Pakistan now stand 4th in the ICC T20I Ratings.
