Newzealand vs. Srilanka 2nd ODI.

The 2nd ODi between Srilanka and Newzealand was played yesterday. The match started well but later on rain came through destroying the craze.Fortunately it wasn't too long to abandon the mach but it shortened the total overs i.e. only 23 overs were given to each team. Srilanka were batting first while the rain started.By the end only 23 overs were to bowled by the both sides .Srilanka scored 138 runs for just 1 wicket. TM Dilshan and Kumar Sangakara again scored 2 consecutive Fifties. The target was adjusted through D/L method.
Newzealanders were to chase down  a 198 runs total in limited 23 overs. It looked to be a very tough ask or a lesser experienced side of Newzealand but not impossible.Tom Latham and Lou Ronchi steadied their ship with their great performances. Lou Ronchi's 89 runs and Tom Lothum's 49 gave Newzealand a solid chance. But a blinder was played by Nathan McCullum who scored 32 runs of just 9 balls powered by 3 fours and 3 sixes taking the KIWIS to last ball victory. It simply was an excellent game of cricket which ended in nail-biter. Newzealand won the match by 4 wickets chasing the total of 198 runs, the Kiwis scored 203 runs in the given time. Man of the match was declared Tom Lutham for his great innings of 89 runs.
